The VPiX Story

25 Years of Seeing What's Next.

We've spent more than two decades transforming new imaging technologies into powerful business experiences.

The technology changes. The possibilities keep growing.
VPiX® — Visual Intelligence for Business.

VPiX Story

25 Years of Seeing What's Next.

VPiX was founded by people who helped navigate some of the biggest transitions in digital imaging, interactive media and customer experience.

Our team brings experience from companies including Eastman Kodak, Apple Computer, Netscape and Starwood Hotels—and we've combined that experience around a simple idea:

Technology Changes. Great Experiences Endure.

We've watched photography move from film to digital. We've watched desktop software move to the cloud. We've watched panoramas become virtual tours, virtual tours evolve into digital twins, and imaging become increasingly intelligent through AI, computer vision, and spatial computing.

Through all of it, VPiX has continued to build.

Today, we create enterprise visual platforms that help organizations capture, manage, understand and present the physical world.

Our technology powers experiences across automotive merchandising, hospitality, education, property documentation, public safety, retail and enterprise marketing.

But we don't begin with technology.

We Begin With the Problem You're Trying to Solve.

Then we bring together imaging, software, AI, automation, cloud infrastructure, and custom development to create the right solution around your organization.

We've Been Here Before.

New technologies don't intimidate us. We've spent our careers adapting to them—and helping customers do the same.

Film → Digital Photography

Desktop → Cloud

Panoramas → Interactive 360°

360° → Digital Twins

Digital Twins → Visual Intelligence

And Whatever Comes Next.

That's why VPiX isn't built around a particular camera, photographer, or imaging technology.

Your technology can change. Your platform shouldn't have to.

Built for Business. Built Around You.

VPiX isn't a one-size-fits-all virtual tour application. We build visual systems around real business workflows.

MotorStreet® automates automotive photography, 360° merchandising, image processing, and vehicle publishing.

CSI360™ gives public-safety organizations powerful tools for visual scene documentation, reconstruction, and spatial evidence.

VPiX Proof creates visual documentation of property condition, helping organizations establish what was there before, what changed, and what happened afterward.

VPiX Enterprise gives organizations the ability to create custom visual experiences, interfaces, integrations, and workflows around their brands, operations, and customers.

Your Business Isn't Generic. Your Visual Experience Shouldn't Be Either.

Experience Matters. So Does What You Do With It.

Twenty-five years doesn't make us valuable simply because we've been around a long time.

It matters because we've learned what works, what doesn't, what changes—and what doesn't.

We've seen technologies arrive with enormous promises and disappear just as quickly.

We've learned that the best camera isn't necessarily the answer. Neither is the newest software or the latest acronym.

The answer starts with understanding what you're trying to accomplish.

That's the experience we bring to every customer engagement.

Bring Us the Challenge.

We'll help you imagine what's possible.

Then we'll build it together.

Our Team. Your Team. One Vision.

OUR STORY

More Than Two Decades of Imaging Innovation

2001 — VPiX Begins

VPiX began as Voyager Communications Group, Inc. — a Santa Fe, NM startup that came out of the Anasazi Business Incubator. We launched the world's first on-demand 360 virtual tour appliance.

Originally using Cobalt 1U pizza boxes, we quickly grew to over 11,240 agents and 1,396 real estate brokers in the first 3 years who used our virtual tour platform with Nikon CoolPix cameras and EyeSee One VR "mirror on a stick."

In 2004, we launched the world's first OPEN MLS platform, called Kayyah.com. By 2008, just before the real estate crash, Kayyah listed over 133,000 homes, mixed with real estate and for-sale-by-owner (FSBO) listings, and was used by over 33,000 users, mostly REALTORS and homeowners. Kayyah.com was discontinued in August 2008 shortly after the real estate crash.

2000s — From Photography to Interactive Experiences

As digital cameras transform photography and broadband transforms the web, our technology evolves from simply displaying images to creating interactive experiences that allow people to explore places remotely.

2010 — The VPiX Platform Expands

VPiX technology and intellectual property come together under VPiX, creating the foundation for a scalable cloud platform capable of supporting photographers, businesses, and increasingly sophisticated enterprise customers.

2010s — From Virtual Tours to Enterprise Software

VPiX expands beyond traditional virtual tours into APIs, custom interfaces, integrations, high-volume hosting and specialized applications for organizations managing hundreds—and eventually thousands—of locations.

Automotive — MotorStreet®

VPiX imaging technology evolves into an automated automotive merchandising platform connecting vehicle capture, 360° photography, image processing, inventory systems and dealership websites.

Public Safety — CSI360™

Our imaging platform expands into forensic and public-safety applications, bringing together photography, 360° capture, LiDAR, mapping, and scene documentation.

Property — VPiX Proof

VPiX applies its visual-documentation technology to property management, creating before-and-after visual records designed around real operational workflows.

Today — Visual Intelligence for Business

VPiX is evolving beyond the traditional definition of a virtual-tour company.

We're bringing together 360° imaging, digital twins, AI, computer vision, spatial data, automation, enterprise software and custom development to help organizations do more with visual information.

And we're still guided by the same principle:

Don't Start With the Technology.

Start With What's Possible.

VPiX® — Visual Intelligence for Business.
